The Forestry career at Universidad de Chile presents the following curriculum:
The plan consists of ten semester, being the first nine equivalents to the Bachelor's degree, that is, to subjects and summer practices, the last semester is the period to develop Thesis, Professional Practice, or continue studies through the Magister. As I mentioned in the previous post, there are the subjects at the level of species and ecosystem (SE), the subjects at the level of wood production (SP), the subjects at the social level (SS) and last but not mentioned above, the subjects of skills for competition (SC). The workload varies a lot depending on the area and the subject, being the areas of SE those that remove extra extracurricular hours, these are followed by the SS, due to the low knowledge that we develop, followed by the SP and finally the SC. Currently for more than 300 people studying this career, the faculty only presents its own building for classes, which consists of 3 normal rooms, 3 rooms with computers, 3 small rooms for study and soon to open a small auditorium . Those would correspond to the places where classes are taught, on the other hand, there are 3 departments where the work of each teacher is developed. At a technological level, the faculty does not present large amounts of technological equipment, but if they present a lot of variety, in general you can only see how they are used unless they are terrain. The teaching methods vary a lot, because there are different generations of teachers, and their way of teaching at the level of presentations, documents and time they give to them, makes the difference.
